You need these when the flue tile does not extend at least 1" above the top of the chimney.

We have chimney caps in stainless steel or galvanized steel painted black. Support tabs inside the base allow these chimney caps to sit on the flue tile and the chimney cap is then secured with set-screws. Just hand tighten!
To determine the correct size chimney cap, simply measure the outside diameter of the flue.
For diameter measurements that fall between 7" to 9" use the 8" chimney cap.
For diameter measurements that fall between 9" to 11" use the 10" chimney cap.
For diameter measurements that fall between 11" to 13" use the 12" chimney cap.
For diameter measurements that fall between 13" to 15" use the 14" chimney cap.
For diameter measurements that fall between 15" to 17" use the 16" chimney cap.
For diameter measurements that fall between 17" to 19" use the 18" chimney cap.
The screws on these chimney caps simply hand tighten up to the side of the flue.
If your flue does not extend at least 1" above the top of the chimney please order chimney cap brackets.
